Not very thematic in the hero line-up, the allies of this deck are composed largely of two factions: Gondor and Eagle. The deck masters two roles: minimising enemy's attack, and defending them before the attack resolution. Beorn and Beregond play the defensive roles, the former specialising at weaker enemies (and striking back). The direct damage strategy is based around Thalin's ability with the support coming from Gondorian Spearman, Spear of the Citadel and Goblin-Cleaver for engaged enemies, and Hail of Stones, Beorning Beekeeper and Descendat of Thorondor for enemies in the staging area (thus helping with questing). Beside the total lack of willpower (only a few more expensive allies like Bofur and Eagles can later contribute at least some), the lack of card draw may become a problem. For such reasons, this is the only mono-sphere deck which can on his own defeat only very few (the most battle and siege oriented) quests. Yet in coop, especially with some protection for its fragile allies, it really shines against majority of scenarios.
