Gondor is not such a prominent theme of this deck, as the ruler, rangers and healers of the Southern Kingdom join up with the travelers from the North.
The ranger mechanic may not be yet entirely developed but this deck tries to get the best out of it with its superior card draw that allows the strategy to develop rather quickly. Encounter deck manipulation is very useful for the traps and direct damage.
As with the Tactics deck, however, this is not a great solo deck. One of its most powerful combos can only have a significant effect in coop. It is Good Meal on Bilbo followed by Gildor's Counsel before staging. The fact that one less encounter card costs you only a single resource may be one of the most under-appreciated combos among the community, and from the experience it is certainly one of the stronger combos out there (though only for coop).
This deck is not a very good quester, and even worse in defence; Protector of Lórien helps with both aspects but the deck doesn't provide very good targets for it - and almost no action advantage.
